Coffee in the area near Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia,
With its characteristic gorgeous scent and lemon-like refreshing acidity ,
When it cools down, it has a sweet and gentle fragrance like a flower .

This is,
"Drying shelf (African bed)" for drying the harvested coffee beans with sunlight.
A sheet is laid on this “tree” and the beans are spread out and dried.
Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia, is located in the center of the country.
The international airport is also located here.
Yirgacheffe is about 10 hours south of Addis Ababa.
Further south is the city of Gedeb,
If you go further east from there, you will finally reach this Gotiti Station.
This time, I would like to introduce “Gedebworeda/Bangkogotiti district”.
So it was very far away.
Furthermore
Well over 2000m,
It is a location where there is no station at a higher altitude than this.

If you are a small farmer working at the station,
I often live in houses like this. Or a house with mud walls.
When it's time to eat, smoke rises from the roof, giving you an indescribable nostalgic atmosphere.
The coffee introduced here is natural refined coffee.
*Natural refining → Refers to a method in which after harvesting coffee beans, coffee cherries (called this because they resemble cherries) are spread thinly and dried in the sun.
Sometimes it is spread out on a brick patio (courtyard), and sometimes a raised drying rack (African bed) is used.
Its taste is fruity and has a wine-like flavor, and some have an impression of blueberries and strawberries.
*We visited the site in November 2018.
