Ethiopia is loved by many coffee lovers and is said to be the origin of coffee.

I really wanted to go to Ethiopia, and in November 2018 I was able to stand there.

The Gedeb district of Yirgacheffe, which is receiving particular attention, is an area blessed with a high altitude and important environment for coffee cultivation.

The ``Wolka'' area of Yirgachefe was not well known, but it produced extremely high quality coffee.

This time, coffee from one of them, "Adamemazoryo" village, is now in stock!

Originally, it was only available under the name "Yirgachefe",

With the cooperation of exporters,

We only pick up coffee that is subdivided within Yirgachefe and collected at a refinery called "Wolka".

Furthermore, we were able to track down the villages scattered within the ``Wolka.''

This is...an amazing thing.

But by that,

The individuality of each village within the same "Wolka" has become clear.

Also,

It was decided that each village would be able to ship

For the producers who work there, their coffee is shipped alone.

Suddenly, my motivation changes.

This time, “Adamemazoryo” is

A gorgeous scent. Light on the palate, sweet and smooth aftertaste.

You can also enjoy the change in taste that changes depending on the temperature.

The coffee berries are so ripe that they look like they're about to fall off at any moment.

At first glance, it looks just as bright red.

If you look closely, it may seem sparse.

Ascertain that,

People who specialize in harvesting beans, called pickers,

We pick fully ripe beans one by one.

It's a daunting task.

After harvesting, there is always a drying process.

A "drying rack (African bed)" for drying harvested coffee beans using sunlight.

In this kind of "drying rack" called "African bed",

In the case of washed

Spread the beans evenly and dry while stirring at regular intervals.

They are making a very steady effort!

But, thanks to that,

It's amazing how you can enjoy such high quality coffee while being in Japan.

I feel grateful.

*I visited the country in November 2018.
